Laszlo I. Nemeth, President of Dynamic Decision Systems in Bethany, CT will be the special guest speaker during brunch at the "Bridging Borders" 2006 B to B RBA/Mahwah Chamber Expo.
Nemeth, the author of The Chink in Your MBA Armor: What They Didn't Teach You About Customer-Market Efficiency Can Leave Your Company Defenseless, has developed innovative ideas on how to better run a company. He believes companies need to leave behind the statistical efficiency model taught in business colleges and focus on satisfying their markets.
"It's no secret that business performance depends primarily on the ability of a company to please its market and serve it better than the competition. Every entrepreneur knows that a company's customers are the final arbiters of success or failure…so a business should measure itself precisely the way its customers do," Nemeth said.
Doing that requires looking at business from an output point of view and not obsessing over accounting and financial-information, Nemeth said. He has helped manage the turnaround of many companies including Delphi Automotive Systems and the General Electric Corporation.
The Bridging Borders Expo is taking place Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center in Suffern. Nemeth will speak during brunch, which will be served from 10:30am – 12:00 pm. From 12:00 pm – 5:30 pm exhibitors will show their wares and from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm there will be an after show cocktail party.
