The RBA's popular weekly newsletter is now open to advertising sponsorships from member companies.
The newsletter, written by RBA Communications Specialist Dylan Skriloff, receives over 2,000 hits monthly and has gained the attention and praise of many of the most active RBA members.
"For the past year the RBA's newsletter has been waking us up to the latest in news affecting Rockland County and apprising members of the opportunities available to them in the RBA. Thanks to our newsletter, we can be sure no RBA member claims ignorance on the issues most vital to their interests," RBA CEO and President Al Samuels said.
"The RBA's newsletter is a little over a year old and already it has taken us through what seems like a lifetime of news and developments," RBA VP of Planning and Development Roger Scheiber noted.
The newsletter has offered regular coverage of the RBA's varied events and guest speakers, the newest ideas emerging from its various councils, the latest news from Albany, research on hot button issues such as Workers Comp Reform and the Living Wage battle and much more.
In April 2006 the newsletter garnered national recognition in an Employment Policy Institute study authored by University of Kentucky economist Dr. Aaron Yelowitz. He cited a quote from Samuels and other statistics from an RBA newsletter article in his study on the effects the proposed "Fair Share for Healthcare" mandate would have on the economy of New York State.
