Press Release
Spring Valley, New York – November 30,2006
The Rockland Business Association has entered into an affinity relationship with Econnergy Energy Company, Inc., which will provide RBA members with free consulting services, competitively priced electricity and natural gas supply, and special rebates.
Under Orange and Rockland Utilities' (O&R) Energy Choice program, businesses may purchase their natural gas or electricity from suppliers other than the local utility. Econnergy works closely with Orange & Rockland Utilities, who will continue to deliver the electricity and natural gas, read the meters, respond to any outages or emergencies, and send out the monthly energy bill.
Because Econnergy is not a regulated utility, it can offer special rate plans that O&R cannot. State regulations prohibit most utilities from offering structured products such as fixed rate offers or variable plans with rate ceilings.
"With today's uncertain energy markets, it's essential to have a focused energy strategy," states Bill Cateno, Econnergy's VP of Sales and Marketing. "After the huge spikes in energy costs we saw last year, businesses understand that the ability to effectively manage energy costs directly affects their bottom line."
Since formulating an effective energy strategy is best left to professionals, Econnergy will provide RBA members with a free consultation to determine their unique usage patterns and develop an energy profile. With this information customers can make an intelligent decision about which rate plans and rebate promotions will best contribute to the success of their business.
"This match makes a lot of sense," says Al Samuels, President/CEO of the RBA. "Econnergy is an RBA member, has been in business locally for nearly ten years, and is the only Energy Service Company based right here in Rockland County. Considering the services Econnergy is offering to fellow members, plus the tax incentives New York State offers customers who purchase from companies like Econnergy, this relationship is a huge win for our members!"
Econnergy Energy Company, Inc., based in Rockland County, has been providing natural gas and electricity at competitive rates to hundreds of thousands of highly satisfied business and residential customers since 1997.
The Rockland Business Association mission is a not-for-profit membership organization devoted to educating, informing, and providing beneficial services to members and actively representing, promoting and supporting the business community of Rockland County. |
