It was Hector May’s big day in the RBA at the December General Membership Luncheon on December 14, as he was introduced as the Association’s new Chairman of the Board.
May, President of New City based Executive Compensation Planners Inc., took the bull by the horns and outlined a broad plan of action for the RBA, which you can read in its entirety here.
Over 160 members were on hand for the luncheon, held at the Suffern Medical Pavilion at Good Samaritan Hospital, which had previously hosted a party for the hospital’s new cardiovascular unit. The RBA retired six directors whose terms were over; including Chairman Howard Hellman, Joseph Allen, Gregg Kroner, Linwood Carter, Vincent Abbatecola and Denis O'Leary. RBA CEO and President Al Samuels told caring anecdotes about each board member.
Good Samaritan Hospital administrator Michael Schnieders greeted the members and thanked the RBA for its help in lobbying for the creation of the $25 million Active International Cardiovascular Institute, to be headed by nationally renowned surgeon Dr. Edward F. Lundy. The Rockland Business Association had long advocated for the creation of the Institute.
