| The Fall Kickoff Meeting for the Rockland Business Association’s new Home Improvement Alliance will be Wednesday September 14 from 5:30 – 7:30pm at the Fox Sports Grill in the Palisades Center Mall.
There is no charge to attend this meeting which is open to all in the home improvement industry, including non-RBA members. RBA Vice President of Development Roger Scheiber expects representatives from at least 25 businesses to be there. A resource table will be set up featuring participant’s brochures and business cards.
"This is a first of its kind opportunity in Rockland County. Businesses have an opportunity to network, build referrals, discuss relevant issues and politics and create marketing opportunities," Scheiber said.
One specific opportunity participants will be able to take advantage of is cooperative advertising in an upcoming relocation guide for new homeowners, expected to reach the Rockland market in the Spring of 2006.
The Alliance was the brainchild of RBA administrators and member companies, particularly Alliance co-chairs Rich Franco of Closet Concepts and Patricia Murphy of Advantage Alarms Inc.
| "This kickoff meeting is a big step toward creating a networking community for the industry in Rockland. We hope by joining forces in this alliance we can help each other and strengthen the industry's voice," Murphy said.
The Alliance has a space on the RBA’s website and has recently released their official mission statement. "The RBA Home Improvements Alliance's mission is to help further the growth and development of member businesses through networking, education and communication from within and outside of the RBA," the statement says.
