The RBA’s third annual expo boutique, one of the largest business to business marketplace events in Rockland will be taking place October 20. The expo is open to the public and has free admission.
The Expo offers a 10' X 7' table top "booth" space to any participating RBA business, where they can sell their wares and exchange information with other businesses and consumers alike. 75 booths are expected to be filled. Throughout the day, exhibitors will be offering giveaways and samples.
"The expo is one-stop shopping and networking for suppliers, services and new products for your business. Anyone visiting the expo will have a first-hand look at some of the newest products available locally," said RBA Vice President Joan Neumann, who coordinated the event.
"The expo boutique is a who's who of Rockland businesses. See what’s happening and meet the people who are making it happen," RBA CEO and President Al Samuels said.
"I go every year," Barry Dorfman of Liberty Mutual Group said. "It gives the membership an opportunity to do better business." A few years ago he used the Expo as an opportunity to sell discounted insurance packages for RBA members, he said.
Linda O'Donnell Tallman of Linda's Chocolates in West Nyack says she will be selling items but mostly handing out a lot of samples at the Expo Boutique. "There aren't many opportunities like this," she said, noting she also participates in a holiday boutique at a local hospital.
"I am really excited, this is my first chance to sample my chocolates to the RBA membership on a large scale," said Tallman.

At 5:30, a cocktail party will be held in the exhibit areas. Confirmed event sponsors include The Journal News/Rockland Business World, The Bank of New York, Hudson Valley DataNet, Good Samaritan Hospital, JCC-Y of Rockland, Provident Bank and United Water.
There will be free parking at the Holiday Inn. For more information, or if you are an RBA member interested in reserving booth space, call Joan Neumann at (845) 735-2100.
