Get your nominations in for the 2006 RBA Pinnacle Awards. The nomination deadline for the April 19 awards program is January 20.
The Pinnacle Awards were created in 2004 as a way to recognize RBA members who achieve excellence. All current members of the RBA are eligible to be nominated. Two of the categories are selected by the RBA Chairman and President, respectively; the Chairman’s Award for Overall Business Excellence and the President’s Award for Service to the Rockland Business Association.
The other four awards are open to nomination and are voted on by a committee. They are the:
-
Bobbi Lewis Memorial Award for Corporate Citizenship
-
Women’s Forum Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Woman-Owned Business
-
Manufacturer’s Award for Business Excellence
-
Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit.
Last year Burt Steinberg received the award for Overall Business Excellence, George Strayton received the President’s Award for Service to the RBA, Rockland Bakery, Inc. received the Manufacturer’s Award, Prudential Rand Realty received the Women’s Forum Award, Safe Harbour Group won the Bobbi Lewis Memorial Award and Meals on Wheels received the Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization Award.
The RBA has over 900 members so there is plenty of room for new winners. Nomination forms must be accompanied by a one-page synopsis of the nominee’s accomplishments and efforts. The nomination package can include a reasonable amount of supporting materials (e.g., testimonials, news clippings or other material) to provide a view of the nominee’s efforts. You cannot nominate yourself for any awards.
The nomination form will be sent out via mail; call the RBA office at 845-735-2100 if you do not receive one. |
