Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro (R), who is running against Senator Hillary Clinton in the 2006 NY Senate campaign, will be the RBA’s guest speaker at the General Membership Luncheon on December 15.
Pirro, who has received national attention as a champion in the war against sexual abuse and internet pornography, has been running a vociferous, though bumpy, campaign against Clinton. She has had a controversial few weeks as her candidacy has been questioned by members of the Republican establishment, including NY State Senate majority leader Joseph Bruno.
Bruno publicly suggested that instead of running for Senator, she run for Attorney General because it was a more realistic campaign. Pirro declined the political pressure and has thus far continued with her Senate bid.

"We know Mrs. Pirro has a distinguished career in law enforcement and as a prosecutor; now we are excited to hear her ideas for advancing the state and country as a Senator," RBA President and CEO Al Samuels said.
The luncheon will take place from 11:30am - 1:00pm at Dellwood Country Club in New City.
