The RBA has recently issued a detailed street map of Rockland County. The 34" X 44" unfolded span features a full map of Rockland on one side and a more detailed view of north and south Rockland on the opposite and is outlined with advertisements from dozens of RBA members.
"We are excited to offer this public service to the people and businesses of Rockland. Not only will it be a handy tool for thousands of residents, it will be a good promotional tool for the RBA, advertisers and the county," RBA CEO and President Al Samuels said.
All major and secondary roads are displayed on the more detailed face of the map, as well as town halls, police stations, fire houses, post offices, schools, libraries, cemeteries, industrial parks, municipal buildings, railroad stations and shopping malls. Ten thousand maps have been produced, which will be distributed by the Department of Tourism and advertisers.
"The Department of Tourism will be handing out the map at hotels, restaurants, parks and venues outside of Rockland. It's a very good idea, it's hard to find good maps of Rockland and this one is stylish and convenient," RBA Vice President Roger Scheiber said.

Though the map's newsstand price is $2, many advertisers will give it away for free. When unfolded the cover of the map features a view of three scenic Rockland County pictures. On top the High Tor Mountains and beneath that a shot of the Tappan Zee Bridge and on the bottom a man playing golf against a silhouette of Rockland's hills.
Map advertiser Gregory Parseghian, General Manager of Best Western of Nyack said he plans to offer the map to any guests who say they need one. It will be especially convenient for people looking at real estate or who are visitors to the county, he said.
