A selection committee comprised of retired RBA Board members will select winners of the fourth annual RBA Pinnacle Awards next Wednesday.
Winners will be selected in six award categories:
- Outstanding Achievement by a
Woman-Owned Business
- President's Award for Service to the RBA
- Chairman's Award for Overall Business Excellence
- Manufacturer's Award for Business Excellence
- Bobby Lewis Award for Corporate Citizenship
- Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization.
Sponsorships are still available for the popular annual event, which attracted over 200 RBA members last April. Winners will receive their awards at an April 18 ceremony at the Park Ridge Marriott and will receive a glass obelisk and a special video presentation in their honor.
"I love the Pinnacle Awards. It’s the event where we recognize companies and individuals within the RBA who exemplify excellence and dedication. What's more the winners represent more than themselves, they represent the winning spirit within all RBA members," RBA CEO and President Al Samuels said.
Past board members whose terms expired at the end of 2006 - Howard Hellman, Vincent Abbatecola, Joe Allen, Lynwood Carter and Gregg Kroner - will make the selections for the 2007 awards. Names of award winners will be made public next Thursday.
Last year Dave Heinrich of Smart Money Mortgage LLC, Larry Beckerle III of Beckerle Lumber, Mary Diem of the Suffern Holiday Inn, Jim Katzenstein of Star-Kay White were honored, along with Provident Bank and United Hospice, Inc.
