PEARL RIVER - The winners of the Rockland Business Association’s fourth annual Pinnacle Awards have been announced!
The Pinnacle Awards are the RBA's way of celebrating the achievements of members who have gone the extra mile in business excellence and/or service to the RBA. Awards are granted in six categories and will be presented at a gala ceremony Wednesday, April 18, 5:30-8:30pm at the Park Ridge Marriot, Park Ridge, NJ. Last year the gala ceremony attracted over 200 RBA members.
The 2007 awardees are:

Chairman’s Award for Overall Business Excellence:
Mike Pointing, VP and GM of United Water, New York, West Nyack.

President’s Award for Service to the RBA:
Barry Dorfman, Liberty Mutual Group, New City.

Corporate Citizenship Award:
Active International, Pearl River.

Women’s Forum Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Woman-Owned Business:
The Byne Group, Suffern.

Manufacturer’s Award for Business Excellence:
Wyeth, Pearl River

Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization:
Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, Tarrytown.
The chairman and president of the RBA selected the Chairman’s Award and the President’s Award, respectively. The other winners were selected from a pool of nominees and voted on by a committee of retired RBA board directors.
The awards show will feature special video presentations about each award winner and a glass obelisk will be awarded to each. Sponsorships are still available for the award show. A presenting sponsorship is valued at $5,000, a platinum sponsorship at $3,000 and a silver sponsorship at $1,500.
Cost of attendance, which includes dinner and cocktail hour is $125 per person or $1,250 for a table of 10. Call the RBA offices at (845) 735-2100 to RSVP.
