Local Graphics Firm Experiences High-Profile Business Boom
November 1, 2010

Over the past few months, KDF Reprographics, Inc. has been experiencing a flurry of activity from a number of high-profile clients.

“I see it as a good sign for the local economy,” says Stephen Hoey, President of KDF. “The fact that businesses that are giants in their respective industries are coming out to Rockleigh, New Jersey for their graphics and printing needs really says something about the power and value of local commerce.”

KDF’s wide-format color graphics department provides tradeshow graphics & displays, corporate presentation, posters, retail graphics, fleet & vehicle graphics, mounting & laminating services. Now, professional sports teams, recording artists, a Tony Award winning play and even the nation’s first naked (yes, naked) Presidential hopeful can be counted among KDF’s rapidly growing clientele.

“Working with the New York JETS is such a privilege,” says Hoey of KDF’s recent collaboration with the NFL team. KDF printed up a large-scale 3D mural of artist Kurt Wenner’s rendering of legendary JETS running back Curtis Martin’s 100th career touchdown, which will be on display at the New Meadowlands Stadium during every JETS home game this season.

KDF’s work also made a grand entrance at New York Fashion Week this year, when hip-hop moguls N*E*R*D rode into a special event at The Billionaire Boys Club in Manhattan with a custom-wrapped Escalade and float from KDF, designed as an homage to the multicolored Rolls Royce in their “Hot N Fun” music video featuring Nelly Furtado.

And that’s not the only performance KDF has been a part of lately, having supplied a backdrop for the Signature Theatre Company’s highly anticipated revival of Tony Kushner’s award winning play, Angels in America, which opened in October.

Angels in America was highly controversial when it was first performed in the early 90’s,” says Hoey. “So there’s a ton of buzz surrounding this revival. It means a lot to us that our handiwork is going to be up there on stage alongside such gifted performers.”

But perhaps the most outrageous of KDF’s high-profile clients is New York City’s own living legend, The Naked Cowboy, who announced his intentions to run for President of the United States during a highly televised press conference for which KDF supplied the print media.

“People are used to seeing him in a cowboy hat and briefs, playing his guitar in Times Square,” says Hoey. “So no one expected a maneuver like this. The coverage this story has received is incredible.”
